"We understand that the process of getting a prosthetic eye can be daunting."

Lorna Rynne
Founder & Ocularist
At Kind Eyes Prosthetics, our ethos centres around ensuring your journey is worry-free. Throughout the process, we work with you to create a bespoke prosthetic that is right for your exacting needs, especially if you have unique or complex care requirements.
With over 10 years of experience crafting ocular prosthetics in London, I started Kind Eyes to ensure patients can find somewhere safe, quiet, and deeply attentive to receive their care.
Whatever stage of your eye journey you are on, we are able to offer considerate, expert guidance to take you through the entire process and craft a prosthesis that truly works for you.
The Crafting Process
A collaborative journey taking approximately 2-3 visits.
Consultation & Impression
A gentle, detailed molding process to capture the exact shape of your socket for a perfect, comfortable fit.
Artistry & Painting
Using fine-art techniques, we hand-paint the iris step-by-step alongside you to perfectly match your natural eye color and depth.
Final Polish & Fitting
The acrylic is cured, shaped, and polished to a glass-like finish, ensuring seamless lid movement and all-day comfort.
Our Work
Every eye we create is one of a kind. Here is a selection of our recent bespoke prosthetics and scleral shells, crafted with meticulous attention to detail.

"The loss of an eye affects far more than sight."
It can change how you carry yourself in a room, how you feel in photographs, and how confidently you meet someone's gaze. A well-crafted prosthetic eye helps restore that quiet self-assurance, not by hiding anything, but by giving you back the natural, balanced appearance that lets you simply get on with life.
Every prosthesis we create is shaped and hand-painted to match the unique detail of your own eye, beautifully capturing its colour, depth, and character. The result sits comfortably, moves naturally with you, and is virtually unnoticeable to others. Whether this is your first prosthetic or you are looking for a fresh start with a new ocularist, you are entirely welcome here.

A safe, gentle space for young patients
When a child needs a prosthetic eye, the whole family feels it. Parents carry questions they're not sure how to ask, and children pick up on every unfamiliar detail in a clinical setting.
We work differently. We move at your child's pace within a calm, unhurried environment, providing the patience and warmth that paediatric care demands. Whether your child was born with anophthalmia or microphthalmia, or has lost an eye through illness or injury, Lorna has the experience to guide your family through every step, right from the very first fitting to the regular updates a growing child needs.
Your wellbeing matters beyond the prosthesis
Losing an eye is one of the most emotionally demanding experiences a person can go through, and research consistently shows that too many patients are left without the emotional support they need.
We believe our role doesn't end at the fitting. On our wellbeing resources page, we've gathered trusted UK organisations that can help you or your family navigate the emotional side of this journey, from specialist counselling for visible difference to confidential helplines staffed by people who understand.
